I’ve never been one to settle with ‘average.’ Delta CAC helped me go above and beyond, finding out my ambitions and passions in life, and what to do with them. The programs that they offered through UAF CTC are outstanding. I recommend them to anyone who has ever thought twice about what to do with their future. I blame the drive I have as a person to get things done, even if it’s ‘impossible.’ entirely on the Delta CAC community, who encouraged me every step of the way. Even the most unrealistic goals are achievable, it just takes time and effort.

“What an opportunity to work on this degree in Delta! This wasn’t possible in 1998. I was a stay-at-home mom until returning to the workforce. A job at Quality Care Center of Delta got me interested in working with and caring for people. I jumped at the chance to increase my skills and earn my CNA – never missed a class thanks to the full support of my husband who had to care for the children.  I love what I do at the clinic.”

“I’m part of a military family out of a farm town in Illinois, so growing up I thought my job opportunities would be joining the military, being a farmer, or going to college. The Delta Career Advancement Center showed me those weren’t my only options and helped me, a high school student at the time, not only experiment with other career fields, but they were there every step of the way to help. I learned about good work ethic and personal responsibility.”
